This initiative aligns with Colorado’s state target of 940,000 EVs by 2030, as outlined in the Colorado EV Plan 2020. Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Park Restoration
The Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Park, a 75-acre open space in Centennial, has undergone significant restoration efforts to address the impacts of urbanization, such as stream erosion and loss of vegetation. A collaborative project involving Arapahoe County Open Spaces, Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority, the City of Centennial, Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority, and Mile High Flood District has successfully restored the stream corridor and expanded recreational and educational amenities within the park. Additionally, approximately 75% of buildings in Centennial are at risk of wildfire, with the risk level for these buildings being significant.
